However, with the recent digital transition, shouldn’t I be able to receive the local channels of my digital TV? If so, how do I find the channels. I did a scan on my TV to no avail. Someone mentioned using an open air antenna on my reciever to get NBC signal in HD.

Do I need a digital converter on a HDTV? Or just an antenna, or both? Or neither? How do I get my local channels? Thank you so much for any help.

Could I move to location “B” and “forget” to tell dish network that I did move and still get location “A’s” local channels? (my friend’s still live at location “A” so they will get the bill and I will pay it from my new town) Also is this not legal? I dont want to go to jail for local channels.

They do have a lot of HD channels but none of them are the big networks ABC,NBC,CBS, etc.
