How To Get Local Channels Free If You Subscribe To Dish?

I have Dish Network and currently subscribe to the local channels for $5 a month. However, with the recent digital transition, shouldn’t I be able to receive the local channels of my digital TV? If so, how do I find the channels. I did a scan on my TV to no avail. Do I need to unplug the receiver? Thanks

    Get an antenna and connects it to the TV for test or the dish box per the boxes instructions. To see what stations and the type antenna you can and/or should get, go to http://www.antennaweb.org

    but an antenna and connect it to the antenna port on the back of the receiver -you should beable to scan thru the dishnetwork reciver to have off air where it assigned your off air channels on top of your dish tv guide

    yea just buy a crap intena and it should work good enough
